As well as the Trophy for Best Shiraz, and the inaugural James Halliday Trophy for Best Red Wine in Show at this year’s National Wine Show, our 2019 Fairbank Syrah has scooped the pool and taken out the Prime Minister’s Trophy for Champion Wine of Show. We could not be prouder!
Bright ruby red with purple hues. Aromas of wild red fruits and boysenberries, with lifted notes of aniseed, lavender and violets and Subtle, warm nutmeg and cinnamon spices. The palate is medium bodied, with fresh red fruits and delicate, powdery tannins. The wine finishes bright and spicy, with a lovely dark chocolate powder and mineral finish.
