Totally opaque black dark red colour with a bright dark red hue. Perfumed aromatics of violets, plum, red liquorice and clove flow out of the glass trailed by vanillin cedar and peppered dried meat notes. Elegant, refined and supple yet possessing tremendous richness and power, dark plum, dark cherry, blueberry and liquorice fruits grace the palate with notions of vanillin cedar, spicy dried meats, light graphite, clove and pepper ensuing. Very smooth, velvet like tannins and a balanced freshness provide great structure. Outstanding intensity and depth with a very long savoury aftertaste. A stellar example of Beechworth Shiraz.
