Using the successful model that was first pioneered in Newcastle, Renew Fitzroy Street is working with St Kilda property owners to transform vacant shop fronts into brand new spaces showcasing creative projects and providing opportunities for local creative industries to trial their ideas. Dotted down the iconic strip you can visit a new florist, streetwear store, exhibitions from visual artists, a shop selling handmade macrame hanging plants and wall hangings and an artisan goat milk soap store.

Melbourne International Comedy Fest returns to St Kilda

Ha! It’s that time of year again. The Melbourne International Comedy Festival returns. This year, not only is St Kilda lucky enough to play host to the Gala and Allstar shows at the Palais Theatre, but there is a HUGE array of comedy gigs across various venues in our suburb. Life’s been a bit gloomy of late, it’s about time we all had a laugh.

The boys are back armed with more than just Shooting Stars, although this will be in their arsenal. Bringing their signature dance flavour to Prince Bandroom, the guys are here to show us why they played such an integral part in putting Australian dance music on the radar of clubs the world over.

The story of Bag Raiders is already the stuff of legend but this Sydney duo are here to prove that their beat journey has only just begun. Celebrate the fact we can all dance again, this is no mean feat.

After months of a COVID induced slumber, the St Kilda foreshore is set to awaken thanks to April Sun. A diverse program of outdoor, COVID safe music events set to hit the grounds of the St Kilda Triangle, directly adjacent to The Palais Theatre.
An autumnal entertainment delight, April Sun, will serve up a platter of Australian performers to satisfy the many and varied palates of Melbourne music lovers. Zoned to allow for COVID safe measures, the events will allow patrons to book single tickets and sit in a position of their choice. The outdoor space will be transformed into a live music venue at one of Australia’s most iconic foreshore locations.
