Prince Public Bar is now open!
Prince Public Bar has reopened, welcoming guests for breakfast lunch and dinner seven days a week.
We continue to follow the latest government guidelines regarding maximum capacities in our venue and follow all social distancing protocols to ensure the safety of all our guests.
Until 12 July we will ensure a maximum of only 20 people per enclosed space, with a maximum group size of six diners per table. Guests who make multiple bookings to accommodate larger groups will still be requested to remain at separate tables.
Due to these limitations reservations are strongly encouraged via the calendar below, although we will do our best to accommodate walk-ins whenever possible.
For the time being reservations must be made for a sit down meal and bookings for drinks and snacks will not be accepted. Outside of meal times guests are welcome to join us for a relaxed drink provided the venue has not reached its maximum capacity.
To help us continue to offer a welcoming and enjoyable experience for all our guests, please be mindful of the dining time you have been allocated when making your booking.
Thank you for your ongoing support.
We’ve got pub food at the ready: schnitzels, burgers, fish and chips as well as St Kilda’s best steak night and daily roast specials artfully prepared in our wood-fired hearth. More inclined to snack? You’ll love bistro style classics like steak tartare and homemade sausage rolls.
On tap you’ll find old favourites alongside craft beers from Nagambie Brewery, as well as a range of boutique bottled beers. For the froth averse there are classic cocktails as well as a carefully curated wine list of local and international drops.
The local watering hole for many a St Kilda native and one of Melbourne’s oldest gay friendly pubs, Prince Public Bar has rich history and heritage.
