Pack a picnic and walk through the 810 mature tree specimens all listed on the significant tree register. Stop and smell the roses in the Alister Clarke Rose Garden. Spend some time in the seasonal displays or educating yourself on the indigenous plants of Australia. And make friends with the locals – lorikeets, flying foxes or maybe even a tawny frog mouth.
