Although it might seem like a family-branded destination, Luna Park is just as much fun for us grown-ups. Indulge in the nostalgia of the traditional carnival food – fairy floss, popcorn, snow cones and hotdogs – or take things up a notch with Café Luna serving gourmet pizzas, deli-style sandwiches and mouth-watering burgers made fresh on site.

Luna Park has been Melbourne’s favourite amusement park attraction for over 100 years. Full of heritage-listed and brand-new thrill rides and attractions for visitors of all ages, it’s hard to walk along the Esplanade and ignore that big grin.

The famous carousel is the biggest in the Southern Hemisphere, manufactured and exported by the Philadelphia Toboggan Company in the early 1900, and one of only 25 still operating today. If you like your rides a little more adventurous, jump on the Pharaoh’s Curse and see Port Phillip Bay from a different perspective.

Luna Park is just a short walk from the Prince – head for the much-photographed giant face at the front.
